Celebrating its 70th Anniversary in 2004, Skydyne also has a remarkable heritage interwoven throughout American aeronautical history. Skydyne developed and patented the wings for the Corsair fighters flown from the flight decks of aircraft carriers until 1953. The same composite material used in this design was converted for use in manufacturing Protective Transport Devices (PTD’s). In the late 1960’s, Skydyne manufactured the cases that transported the Lunar Landers to Kennedy Space Center, as well as, containers that carried food and cargo on the Apollo Moon Missions. Skydyne’s current products include storage cases mounted to “Humvees”, PTDs for various weapons and the Predator unmanned aircraft and transportation for the Magellan Venus Probe.Manufactured And Assembled in the U.S.
