Skydyne’s Heritage

For over 70 years, The Skydyne Company has had a remarkable heritage interwoven throughout American aeronautical history. Skydyne developed and patented the wings for the Corsair fighters flown from the flight decks of aircraft carriers until 1953. The same composite material used in this design was converted for use in manufacturing Protective Transport Devices (PTD’s). In the late 1960’s, Skydyne manufactured the cases that transported the Lunar Landers to Kennedy Space Center, as well as, containers that carried food and cargo on the Apollo Moon Missions. Today, The Skydyne Company is a prominent supplier of light weight impact resistant cases that are used by the US Military and major defense contractors in a variety of demanding applications.  In addition, we have successfully taken our expertise and applied it to new markets that also require protection for fragile and valuable contents while in transit.  When you need protection, come to The Skydyne Company for solutions to your demanding packaging requirements.
