Skydyne Currently Manufacturing Carbon Fiber Cases
Skydyne is currently manufacturing carbon fiber cases. These carbon fiber cases are custom made and used for the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System. Each case includes recessed casters, a retractable pull-handle, black E-Coated auto-tension clamps, a black oxide spring-loaded handle with rubber bail, a gas spring lid stay, and I/O connector panels.
Skydyne is manufacturing carbon fiber cases using thermoset resins which give each case a high strength to weight ratio. Thermoset resins do not soften with higher temperatures. Skydyne can use its various manufacturing process to incorporate molded-in features, such as recessed dishes, stiffening ribs, and stacking feet. Skydyne can add pigments and gelcoats for molded-in color upon request. However, for this carbon fiber case Skydyne uses a clear resin so that the carbon fiber material is visible.
Custom sizes and configurations are available with minimal tooling costs.
